Aww…I am so honored that you wanted to learn more about me! So let’s get better acquainted. See that picture over there to the left…that about sums up my crazy backwards lifestyle. Here’s the truth…I LOVE FOOD. No, like you have no idea how much I own loving food. I am a fitness professional and I love cooking healthy dishes…they’re my thing. But if someone walks over to me with a free ice cream cone and says “enjoy”, that’s exactly what I’m gonna do honey…ENJOY!
Let me back up a little bit. I was that girl who thought I should eat a salad when I went out on a date so I wouldn’t look like I loved food. Deciding what to eat at a restaurant was hell because I didn’t want the people around me to judge what was on my plate. It was torture because the world tells women that we shouldn’t love food…that we should hang our heads in shame if we, God forbid, eat a cupcake…gasp!
What changed it all was when I gave birth to my son. When I was pregnant I thought I was going to snap right back to my former glory within a few months…HA! My perfect hourglass figure and tight tush seemed like a distant memory at this point. I got so discouraged and actually contemplated starting a new career because I thought no one would want to work with a chubby trainer and wellness chef. It took the encouragement of one of my best friends to get back out there and to fall in love with the new me. The new me brought a life into this world…and each stretch mark and inch of loose skin were earned with love. It was that moment that I looked in the mirror and saw beauty, sexiness and health. I started working out 5 days a week again and it felt GREAT! I started creating recipes again…and began falling in love with food…good food. I realized that in life there must be balance.
So now here I am, not what I used to be….but I am right where I need to be. I love my newly enhanced hourglass figure that came complete with hips and a booty that won’t quit 😛
I love my relationship with food and the fact that I don’t feel guilty every time I eat. And this little blog of mine is my way of sharing with the world how I got my Fresh Start through simple yet tough workouts and yummy yet healthy meals. I can honestly say that I am happy, healthy and am creating an absolutely delicious life
